Farm Week

National Farm Appreciation Week
Posted on 04/26/2022

Second grade QUEST students spent the week learning about farming, agriculture, and animals for National Farm Animal Appreciation Week.

The high school FFA students created a presentation and activity book to share with them.  They got to meet and see firsthand a Clydesdale horse, pigs, a rabbit, a sheep, and a goat. (HUGE SHOUT OUT to all the visitors who so graciously brought their animals by for us to learn about!).

They hatched butterflies, ladybugs, and praying mantis as well as dissected sheep brains and owl pellets. They celebrated  the event with a Barnyard Bash where they learned to square dance, rope a horse, and enjoyed barnyard activities before spending the night at school!
